Kira Rudolph

Kira Rudolph studied social science at the Ruhr-University in Bochum. She completed her master's degree in the study program 'Culture and Person'. She worked as a student assistant in the tutorial program of the Faculty of Social Sciences and as a student assistant at the Chair of Social Theory and Social Psychology.

Kira Rudolph has been a research assistant at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Straub since 2022 and a doctoral fellow in the IPU-KKC Graduate Program 'Trauma and Collective Violence: Articulation, Negotiation and Recognition' since 2023.
Her dissertation deals with sexualized violence against female prisoners in Nazi concentration camps. The focus is on the tension between the excessive violence that occurred, the concealment or denial of it, and its individual or familial processing of it.

Her research interests include social and cultural psychology, violence research (especially sexualized violence), anti-semitism research and intercultural communication and competence.
